Panel Wireman

We are currently seeking an experienced Panel Wireman to work with Thyson on a full-time, permanent staff basis from our offices in Ellesmere Port and on Client sites as required.

Key Objectives:

  • It is the E & I Panel Wireman’s responsibility to work from a range of technical drawings to complete panel wiring installation works. Communicate suggestions for editing of electrical drawings to instigate improvements, modifications and innovations. Provide general wiring and cable support to TTL installations both in the workshop and as required at Client sites. Complete point to point testing of electrical circuits and panels, to ensure systems are wired correctly and are safe and compliant with regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Project wiring/cable installation work.
  • Control panel manufacture.
  • Point to point testing of completed panels, distribution boards and associated equipment.
  • Responsible for their own health and safety and that of others and undertake the obligations as defined within the TTL H&S Manual.
  • Assist in the implementation of the TTL Quality Assurance, Environmental Management System, abide and promote its Policies and Procedures.

    Qualifications:

  • C&G in an Electrical Installations or similar discipline or alternatively be able to demonstrate suitable skills and experience.

    Skills:

  • A valid CCNSG safety passport would be an advantage.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good communication skills, written and oral.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work at various UK sites as required.

    Skills:

  • Working knowledge of HSE legislation and requirements.
  • A good working knowledge of current electrical regulations.
