Thyson Technology strengthens service team

October 5, 2015

Analytical systems engineering specialist Thyson Technology has appointed a new service engineer in response to growing demand for aftermarket support from customers across the UK.

Paul Williams has seven years’ experience delivering on-site calibration, monitoring and maintenance services for gas detection and analysis systems.

The appointment follows a notable increase in revenue from aftermarket services.

The ongoing expansion of the team is being supported by significant investment in equipment, including most recently a new service vehicle.

Managing director Mike Braddock said: “We are committed to ensuring that our customers get the best lifetime performance and value from the systems we deliver, and proper monitoring and maintenance is a critical piece in the jigsaw.

“Paul’s appointment is another important step for our business, as it further strengthens the on-site support we are able to offer our customers up and down the country. Design and manufacture of analyser systems continues to be the core of our business, but support services will also play an increasingly important role going forward.”

A series of contract wins in the UK and internationally saw Thyson Technology grow its turnover to more than £10million in 2014/15, and the business is targeting revenues of £12.5million in the current financial year.

Thyson Technology designs and builds analyser systems that allow customers across a range of industries to measure key parameters of their processes by automatically delivering samples of the process material into advanced analysis tools.

Such equipment plays a critical role in many industrial applications around the world including transportation and exchange of oil and gas, steel production, biogas production and power generation.
