Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Officer

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Location (including any site visits): This role is predominantly based in the TTL Head office, with occasional site visits required.


    This job Requires:

  • SHEA Gas (EUSR Card)
  • IRCA recognised qualification in ISO Auditing.
  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Computer Literate. Must be MS Office proficient.
  • Full UK Driving license. 

    Primary Duties:

  • Carry out in-house training sessions and toolbox talks.
  • Carry out SHEQ audits in accordance with the company audit program and inspection plan.
  • Assist with ensuring that all findings from audits and inspections are communicated, actioned and closed to the required level, i.e. by updating Company procedures, providing direct feedback to the functional Director/Manager, toolbox talks/staff briefings etc.
  • Attend sites and carry out relevant audits.
  • Responsible for new employee and new contractor HSEQ inductions to the Company.


    Secondary Duties:

  • Support the SHEQ Manager to ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are developed, monitored and embedded for workshop activities.
  • Work in close partnership with production management to ensure a safe working environment within the facility and on Sites supporting Client projects, overseeing activities where required.
  • Collate statistics and information for SHEQ metrics.
  • Monitor the Training/Competency Matrix for TTL and Sub-Contractors so that competencies of all personnel are recorded and up to date. Ensure training courses are provided to personnel when required and funding through the Apprenticeship Levy utilised.
  • Assist with ensuring that all findings from audits and inspections are communicated, actioned and closed to the required level.
  • Reviewing and maintaining the Competency Matrix; adding new starters and new starter inductions, arranging training courses and maintaining personnel training records.
  • Updating, reviewing, and editing SHEQ procedures, forms, and policies, notifying departments of document review dates and maintaining the drawing and document register(s).
  • Report directly to the SHEQ Manager assisting to ensure a safe working environment across the business, providing support and guidance as necessary.
  • Work in close partnership with production management to ensure a safe working environment within the facility and on Sites supporting Client projects, overseeing activities where required.
  • Ensure Waste transfer notes and waste carrier licences and up to date and valid to ensure legislation and requirements are met.
