Vacuum Oxygen Decarburization (VOD) is the manufacturing process by which the quality of stainless steel is assured.

To be carried out accurately, the process depends on the ability to measure the composition of the stream of gas leaving the furnace throughout the process.

Thyson Technology designs and builds sampling systems based on Thermo Fisher Scientific’s PrimaPro Mass Spectrometer, providing precise, representative, real-time analysis.
